How to Self-Solemnize Your Wedding

In the state of Colorado, couples can perform their own marriage ceremony. With self-solemnization, you eliminate the need of a third party officiating. This is a wonderful option if you want your day to truly be about just the two of you.

If you are from out of state and self-solemnize your wedding in Colorado, it is still recognized as a legal marriage across state lines.

You can pick up your marriage license in any county in Colorado, regardless of where you live or the county where you are having your ceremony.
