ABOUT

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

After photographing an awesome ski wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, I realized there were not a lot of resources for adventurous couples who want to incorporate skiing or snowboarding into the biggest day of their lives. As an avid skier and wedding photographer, I combined the two to provide resources to help guide couples to create a wedding experience that is as unique as they are.

My ultimate goal is to create an experience that reflects you and your partner, and capture unforgettable memories. You deserve to celebrate your proposal, engagement, or wedding exactly how you want. Whether that means getting down on one knee in the snow 11,000’ above sea level, having your engagement session while skiing or boarding on vacation, saying your vows on the top of a mountain, or swapping out a first dance for a first ski, I’m here to capture it all. I’m passionate about skiing and photography, but even more passionate about helping you and your partner have a unique experience that is true to you.

Your ski Photographer

Gabrielle Stowe

I grew up in the North East, and spent my childhood skiing all over New England. With the last name Stowe, I was kind of bound to end up loving being on skis. My father was passionate about skiing and instilled that in me by gifting me lil baby skis (and a leash!) at age five. A few years later I started alpine racing, and competed for 10 years. After graduating college (in a very flat state) I decided to move to Colorado to be closer to the mountains and take advantage of some of the country’s best skiing.

As you’ve probably guessed, another passion of mine growing up was photography. I loved to artistically capture the world around me. I am so incredibly grateful that I was able to turn that childhood hobby into a career as a wedding photographer. I am so lucky that my job is spending time with people on the happiest days of their lives, and capturing couples laughing and enjoying the company of their favorite person.

 FACTS ON FACTS ON FACTS

Getting to know your photographer is really important- we spend your day together as I capture your story unfold! I consider myself your Professional Third Wheel, so here are some tidbits so you can get to know me a bit better!

Here’s an obligatory childhood photo of me holding a camera. I have since upgraded from Fisher Price to Nikon.

I have a few octogenarian hobbies including beekeeping, cross-stitching, baking and reading novels. More often than not, I’m hanging on my couch with my two cats (Emma and Charlie) watching some period drama while knitting, because I am an 80-year-old woman at heart.

I wouldn’t be a Colorado transplant unless I posted a photo of me doing Colorado things. In addition to hiking and skiing, I also love cycling, especially when gravity is involved.

My favorite band is the Oh Hellos. If you haven’t heard of them, do yourself a favor and check them out. I love live music, and some of my other favorites are Sammy Rae & the Friends, Noah Kahan, Hozier, Brandi Carlile, Taylor Swift, Birdtalker, Caamp, Wild Child, Penny & Sparrow, Sleeping at Last, the Ballroom Thieves, Lawrence, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, and Ripe.

As a cat lady with a self-deprecating sense of humor and sick photography skillz, the natural next step for me was to start making Christmas cards with my cats. I just like the idea that me and my cats’ faces are up on my friends’ fridges next to save-the-dates and birth announcements, causing momentary confusion to the unsuspecting viewer.
